Bobby Ray Ikerd

The funeral service for Mr. Bobby Ray Ikerd will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 8, at Solid Rock Pentecostal Church. Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7, at Solid Rock. There will be a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at Pounds Cemetery in Washington Parish.

Mr. Ikerd, 62, of Bogue Chitto, passed from this life on Dec. 4, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Bogalusa on April 25, 1956, to Billy Ray Ikerd and Laura Mae Wells Ikerd. He was a Minister of the Lord Jesus Christ and a member of Solid Rock Pentecostal Church. Mr. Ikerd served his country in the U.S. Army. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Billy Joe Ikerd and Kenneth Wayne Ikerd; and sister, Debra Lynn Ikerd Hoehn.

Those left to cherish his memory are: his wife, Brenda Louise Ikerd; son, Bobby Dewayne Ikerd; daughter, Lisa Lynette Ikerd Canoy and husband Russell; brothers, Jeffrey Ikerd, Christopher Ikerd; two grandchildren, Jacy Ikerd Branton and Samantha Canoy; and three great-grandchildren, Brenna Rae Branton, Emerson Cate Branton, and Rhett Allen Branton. He also leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends as well as his church family.
