Rennette “Rene” Pierce Hamlett left her home in Temple, Texas, and arrived at her heavenly home where she entered into life with her savior Jesus Christ, on the morning of Nov. 29, 2018.

She was a Bogalusa native, born on March 10, 1943. She moved to the Houston, Texas, area in the 1960s.

Those left to cherish her memory include: daughter, Penny Moore and husband Tracy, and Joetta Adkins; brother, Bobby Ray Pierce and wife Marion; grandchildren, Alice Rene Ezzell and wife Sara Griffin, Robert Arthur Ezzell, Reba Maria Hudspeth and husband Jay, Zachary Moore and John Phillips; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Marie Hudspeth and Wyatt Anthony Hudspeth; niece, Christi Pierce Moore, husband Bobby and their daughter Savannah.

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Pierce; mother, Sadie Crain Pierce; daughter, Ann (Hamlett) Ezzell and her husband Gene Ezzell.

The memorial and scattering of the ashes will be in the Houston/Galveston area, date unknown at this time.
