Shane Odom

Shane John Odom, 40, of Crossroads, Miss., passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 26, 2018.

Shane is survived by his loving wife, Crystal; his two precious children, Skye and John; his mother, Loretta Odom; siblings, Vicki (Darrell) Chavis, Sydnie Lynn (Larry) Chavis, Lynn (Danny) Creel, Holly Odom Williamson, L. Carson Odom, Michael (Hanah) Odom; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Carson Odom; and brother, Timothy E. Odom.

Shane was born Sept. 23, 1978. He married Crystal Lapine in 2003. Shortly thereafter the couple welcomed two cherished children into their home. His family will remember him as an invested, loving and godly father who set a tremendous example.

Shane was accomplished at so many things and often used them in Christian service through his church. Shane was a generous, caring, compassionate and witty individual who loved God and was passionate about sharing his faith. Shane was a dedicated faithful member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church and often volunteered his time and talents in Christian service.

Services were scheduled for Friday, Nov. 30, from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., with service to follow at 6:30 p.m. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home, with a reception for the family to follow at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church to celebrate Shane’s life. Pastors Pete Underwood and Jarrod Dawes officiated the service.
