Raymond Magee

Raymond Leo Magee, affectionately known as “Ray Ray,” departed this world on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018. He was born on July 13, 2001, in Bogalusa. He was a senior at Bogalusa High School and a member of Salter Chapter A.M.E. Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Darryl and Edna Brown of Bogalusa; three sisters, Chazity Magee and Chelsea Magee of Bogalusa, and Shronda (Travis) Hunter of Denham Springs; six brothers, James (Sabrina) Ishman of Gulfport, Miss., Darrell (Dominique) Ishman of Bossier City, Donald (Marissa) Ishman, Keithen (Courtney) Ishman, Truman Brown and Rodney Brown, all of Bogalusa; six aunts, Sandra Jones, Gloria (Curtis) Hughes, Annette Perkins, Monique Brown, and Trina Brown, all of Bogalusa, and Darleen Ishman of Charlotte, N.C.; nine uncles, Micheal (Tressa) Ishman, Lloyd (Tonya) Lewis, Lawrence Way, Tim Brown, Boris (Amy) Brown, Patrick Brown and Bo Brown of Bogalusa, Gerald Ishman of Augusta, Ga., and Larry Ishman of Green Lane, Penn.; his grandparents, Robert Knox of Bogalusa, and Charles and Doris Magee of New Orleans; and special friends, Damyia Harris and Shaniyha Harris of Bogalusa. He is also survived by Cheryl Magee.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Cora Ishman, Lucille Brown and Wash and Pearl Way.

Viewing of the body will be Friday, Nov. 30, followed by a family hour from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, at Salter Chapel A.M.E. at 11 a.m.

Active pallbearers will be James Ishman, Darrell Ishman, Derrick Ishman, Donald Ishman, Lloyd Lewis and Travis Hunter. Honorary pallbearers will be Darryl Brown, Keithen Ishman, Rodney Brown and Truman Brown.

Interment will be in Duffy’s Cemetery in Bogalusa.
