Paris “Turtle” Lemoine Gatlin was born May 13, 1988, in Chula Vista, Calif., to the late Charlotte Lewis Gibson and Dennis Gatlin.
Paris was well loved by all who knew him. Always trying to keep a smile on everyone face and brighten up their day. No one had such a brighter and bigger smile than he. He loved spending time with his son “Ty,” family and friends. Paris was known to always tell his love ones to stay strong and often provided them with encouraging words. Paris loved his family dearly and made sure to stay in contact with each one on a regular basis.
Paris leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Ti’Shawn Jakeithius Gatlin of Tylertown, Miss.; father, Dennis Gatlin of New Orleans; two brothers, Emmanual “Man Man” Lewis of Bogalusa, and Antoine D. Lewis of Winnfield; two sisters, Mercedes Gatlin of Monroe, and Alexis Gatlin of Franklinton; his grandmother, Hattie J. (Robert) Burrell of Houston, Texas; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Paris is preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte M. Lewis Gibson; two grandfathers, Johnnie C. Lewis and Clyde Gatlin; grandmother, Mattie Gatlin; three aunts, Ernestine Potter, Rachel Pearl Allen and Mickey Franklin; and one cousin, Mitchel Johnson.
