District Attorney Warren Montgomery said that a grand jury indicted Jacob Scott Walker, 36, a former Sun police officer, on Tuesday, with two counts of malfeasance.

Montgomery said that Walker is accused of pocketing money he collected from traffic tickets for his own personal gain between Feb. 8 and Aug. 13 of this year. Walker also is accused of failing to submit narcotics evidence to the crime lab for analysis after a traffic stop on Dec. 18, 2017, and then lying about it.

Assistant District Attorney Ken Dohre presented the case to the grand jury, and D.A. Investigator Walter “Nick” Burtanog IV investigated it.
