The Magic City Firefighters Auxiliary is currently hosting an 18-month capital campaign to raise funds for new equipment for the Bogalusa Fire Department.

The campaign will close in May and a party is planned in early June to celebrate the close of the first campaign. Their first purchase was thermal imagers for each station to assist the firemen with finding people in smoky buildings and seeking hot wires in walls. MCFA Members gathered Thursday morning with Mayor Wendy Perrette, Bogalusa Fire Chief Richard Moody and members of the Bogalusa Fire Department on the steps of City Hall to present the new equipment to the department.
