Mrs. Evanett Price departed this earthly life and received her wings on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 at 11:15 a.m.

Mrs. Eva was a doorkeeper for the Lord over 30 years. She loved being an usher, greeting and welcoming everyone in the house of the Lord. She was a very sweet and caring person with a heart of gold.

Mrs. Eva leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Mary J. Price; a son, Willie Price J. Jr.; three sisters, Angela (Willie) Tyner, Blanche Cooper, Mary Lon Wilson; grandchildren, Eddie (Maria) Price, Joseph (Janae), Dennis, Jana (Leah), Joya (Douglas); three great-granddaughters, Eva, Kaiden, and Noelle; grandsons, Easton and Ashton; and her extended family, Brad, Emily, Chris, Warren, Wright, and William.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Sylvester Ross; and her sisters, Myrtis Anthony, Jeanette Lee, Bonnie Lewis, and Rose Woods.

Visitation will be held at Mt. Kingdom Missionary Baptist Church, located at 3756 Louisa Street in New Orleans, on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. with Rev. Derrick Johnson, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Greater Hayes Cemetery in Hackley.
