Edward Strickland

Edward Glynn Strickland, 88, passed away on Oct. 28, 2018, at Ellington Nursing home in Rayne. He was a resident of Bogalusa and member of First Presbyterian Church, where he played the organ for 25 years. Glynn was an interior decorator and master woodworker.

He is survived by one son, Paul D. Strickland and wife Jennifer of Woodridge, Va.; one brother, Jack Strickland of Hendersonville, N.C.; and one grandson, Joshua P. Strickland of Woodridge.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Janet Strickland; and parents, Edward and Minerva Strickland.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 2, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday, Nov. 3, at the First Presbyterian Church from 9 a.m. until the time for the service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Ponemah Cemetery.
