The Bogalusa branch of the Washington Parish Library will host a special program Thursday evening, giving citizens the chance to learn about the importance of railroads in the area’s development.
On Thursday at 6 p.m. at the library, located at 304 Ave. F in Bogalusa, retired Methodist pastor David S. Price of Hattiesburg, Miss., will present an audio-visual program about the Bogalusa area’s railroad and logging history.
“Price has done professional shows before,” said Terry “Foots” Quinn, a railroad enthusiast from Bogalusa. “Not only is he very knowledgeable about the logging and railroad industry, but he has built and occasionally operates his own Narrow Gauge steam locomotive.”
The program is open to the public.
