Leslie Spears Jr. passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at his home in Franklinton, at the age of 77. He was an avid member of Thomas Baptist Church.

Leslie is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cindy Gaither Spears of Franklinton; four sons, Garland Leslie Spears and his wife Judy of Bogalusa, Gary Lamar Spears of Franklinton, Brandon Leslie of Franklinton, and Christopher Allen Spears and his wife Emily of Franklinton; two daughters, Tyrie Rogers and her husband Billy Joe of Franklinton, and Stephanie Dawn Phillips and her husband Jason of Cullman, Ala.; two sisters, Rita Mae Breland and her husband Louis of Franklinton, and Mary Lou Bufkin of Thomas; and one sister-in-law, Billie Sue Spears of Franklinton. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Leslie is preceded in death by his first wife, Cynthia Dillon Spears; his parents, Leslie and Frances Creel Spears Sr.; and four brothers, Richard Spears, Lander Spears, Willie J. Spears and Will Loyd Spears.
