Leona Miller

Leona Williams Miller, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away peacefully at the age of 104, on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at Resthaven Living Center.

She served as a School Guard for many years and also a well known seamstress and avid quilter. Leona’s true love was her church, Church of United Faith.

Leona is survived by one son, Robbie and his wife Carolyn Miller; and one daughter-in-law, Arlene of Bogalusa. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other family members.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Miller; son, Dudley Jo and his wife Claudine Miller; daughter, Betty and her husband Robert Davis; son, Randy Miller and granddaughter Kristen Taylor; brothers, W.B., Travis, Troy and Ned; and one sister, Gladys Lofton.

The funeral services were at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 3 p.m. Visitation began at 10 a.m. until service time. Interment immediately followed at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa.
