Bogalusa Police Chief Kendall Bullen confirmed that officers from several agencies are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon at the Chevron Gas Station/Kim’s Seafood, located at 1715 Sullivan Drive in Bogalusa.
On the scene Wednesday, Bullen said that one male individual was shot and that a bullet grazed his shoulder.
He said the victim had minor injuries and chose not to be transported to the hospital. Bullen said that witnesses were present and officers were interviewing them to determine what had happened.
Police crime tape had been hung around several vehicles and gas tanks at the business, as officers investigated and collected evidence. Agencies present included the Bogalusa Police Department, Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Louisiana Department of Corrections.
On Friday afternoon, Bullen said that no arrests had been made in connection with the shooting yet, but BPD investigators had several strong leads.
