Braxton Wade Bennett passed away Monday morning at his residence at the age of 2 years old. He was a happy baby and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his mother, Daisy McCarty of Franklinton; his father, Justin Bennett of Franklinton,; his little brother, Preston Bennett of Franklinton, and big sister, Stormy Bennett of Franklinton; grandparents, Tommy and Crystal McCarty of Bowling Green, Ky., Leslie Bennett of Franklinton, Regina Milton of Amite, and Dale and Bobbie Waller of Livingston; and great-grandmother, Vergie Dickerson of Holden. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Marvin and Estelle Bennett, and Jesse and Ellie McCarty.

There was a visitation on Friday, Sept. 21, at Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church in Franklinton, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Mt. Zion Church on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m., and will continue until funeral service begins at 2 p.m. The Rev. Leon Hickman will officiate. Interment will follow at Sheridan Cemetery.
