Joshua Bridges

Mr. Joshua Bridges was born Feb. 25, 1921, to the late Mr. Frank and Mrs. Annie Bruns Bridges and he departed from his early house to his home in glory at the age of 98 on Friday, Sept. 14, at Ochsner North Shore Hospital in Slidell at 6:30 p.m.

Joshua served in the U.S. Navy as a Gunner’s Mate Second Class (T) V6 USNR from Aug. 22, 1942, until November 1945.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 22, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, from 10 a.m. until noon. It will be followed by the funeral service at noon, with the Rev. James Magee officiating.

He leaves to cherish his memories his sister, Margie Bridges of Slidell, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Frank and Mrs. Annie Bruns Bridges; his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Bridges; two brothers, Ike Bridges and Frank Bridges; and three sisters, Defisher Keller, Pauleen Magee and Mamie Mitchell.

Interment will be in Duffy Memorial Cemetery in Lee’s Creek.
