U.S. Rep. Dr. Ralph Abraham, R-La., announced Monday that the town of Franklinton will receive $75,000 in federal funds to purchase two new police vehicles and equipment.
The grant comes from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture’s Community Facilities Grant Program. The grant will cover the total cost of the purchase.
“Our law enforcement officers do so much to keep our communities safe, so it is important that they have the resources they need to keep up their good work,” Abraham said. “I appreciate Sec. Sonny Perdue and the USDA for awarding these funds to Franklinton.”
