The Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival is proud to announce this year’s festival poster. This year’s poster artist, Taffenie Corken Mizell, is a lifelong resident of Washington Parish who demonstrates a love of art through her teaching and her artistic creations.

She received her bachelor of arts degree in art education from Southeastern Louisiana University. She began her teaching career in 2002 at Enon and Franklinton elementary schools and is dedicated to watching her students bloom in their own artistic creativity.

Mizell currently teaches art at Franklinton High School, as her love for art and her students continues to grow.

Painting scenes of our great state is what she enjoys doing most.

This magnificent poster captures the essence of Bogalusa. It couples the historical nature of Columbia Street, beautiful Cassidy Park, the history of Bogalusa as a music center and the warm and welcoming spirit of the Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival.

The posters are on sale now. Visit online at www.bogalusablues.com, or pick them up at the festival.
