On Sept. 3, 2018, Dale Edward Jenkins passed from this life while surrounded by his friends and family. He was 66 years old. Dale Jenkins was born on May 6, 1952 in Aurora, Colorado and was a graduate of Beaufort High School in Beaufort, S.C.
As an avid surfer and beach goer, Dale spent most of his early years surfing the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and establishing lifelong friendships. He enjoyed watching football, but was a loyal fan of the Louisiana State University Tigers.
More than his love of the Tigers and the beach, Dale was known for his devotion to Jesus Christ, sharing his testimony with all who would listen. Dale and his wife, Tina, were members of the Pentecostals of Lee Road in Covington, before moving to Loranger, where they were faithful members of the Pentecostals of Loranger Community.
Dale was a mentor to troubled adolescents, working with child residential facilities within the Northshore area, and then Lighthouse Ranch for Boys, where he served as a supervisor. He was greatly loved and respected for his devotion, humor, diligence and servitude by residents and staff at Lighthouse Ranch.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife, Tina; daughter, Krissa; daughter and son-in-law, Bethany and Chris; and grandchildren, Aiden, Savannah, Faith, Onea, Isaac and Christian. He also leaves behind a sister, Christine Lafleur and her husband, Danny Lafleur; their two children, Joanna and Richard LaFleur; nephews, Steven and Michael Jenkins; and niece, Kelly Jenkins.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 9, at the Pentecostals of Loranger Community, located at 20155 Milkplant Road in Loranger. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with services following at 5 p.m.
