Citizens will have the opportunity to hear from each of the candidates for Bogalusa mayor at a debate night Thursday.

The debate will start at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Bogalusa High School auditorium.

Bogalusa mayoral candidates expected to participate are Brian McCree, James “Mack” McGehee, current mayor Wendy Perrette, Tina Ratliff and Doug Ritchie.

This event is hosted by Citizens for Education and Community Improvement (CECI).

There will also be a second debate hosted in two weeks. This debate will be for candidates for the Bogalusa City Council and the Bogalusa School Board.

That debate will be Thursday, Sept. 20, at 6 p.m., and will also be held at the BHS auditorium.

The public is invited to attend both debates, which will be moderated.
