Janet Strickland, 83, passed away on Aug. 30, 2018, at Northshore Specialty Hospital in Covington. She was a resident of Bogalusa, and member of Annunciation Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Edward Glynn Strickland of Bogalusa; one son, Paul D. Strickland of Woodridge, Va.; one brother, Malcolm Noel Daniel of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Barbara Daniel Breland of Bogalusa, and Mary Daniel Duckworth, of Georgia; and one grandson, Joshua Strickland of Woodridge.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Royal and Lois Eloise Daniel Strickland; and one brother, Darrel Daniel.

Visitation will be in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, Sept. 6, at Annunciation Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass, beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Ponemah Cemetery. Deacon Ed Kelley will be officiating.
