Evelyn Phillips

Miss Evelyn Marie Phillips, 66, was born Feb. 12, 1952, to the late Miss Lucinda Phillips and Mr. Anderson Brown. She passed away on Sept. 2, 2018, at Hood Memorial Hospital in Amite.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Danielle Phillips; a son, Derrick Phillips, both of Bogalusa; three grandchildren, Ms. Darria Phillips of Lafayette, Davin and Dorien Phillips, both of Bogalusa; a brother, Mr. Ernest Phillips of New Brunswick, N.J.; two sisters, Miss Martha Phillips of Bogalusa and Mrs. Sharon Solero of San Francisco, Calif.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by both her parents and a sister-in-law, Alfredia Phillips.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, with funeral services, beginning at 11 a.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, located at 809 E. Third St. in Bogalusa, with the Rev. Stanley Nathaniel officiating. The internment will be in Bogalusa Cemetery.
