Local citizens now have a new location to navigate their futures, as a part of the Northshore Technical Community College’s fall 2018 Adult Education program in Franklinton.

Thanks to a classroom space donated by Washington St. Tammany Electric Co-operative, NTCC’s Adult Education department will be offering classes in the training facility located at 846 Pearl St. in Franklinton.

“We are excited to be able to host NTCC’s Adult Education program at our training facility,” said Charles Hill, CEO of WST Electric. “It’s virtually important for the people of Franklinton and Washington Parish to have access to educational opportunities and the ability to provide space for our community is important to everyone at WST.”

A dedicated team of instructors will prepare students for the HiSET exam to earn their high school equivalency diplomas, while also readying them for a successful future in college or a career. These free classes are offered to qualified students at NTCC locations in Bogalusa, Franklinton, Slidell, Lacombe, Hammond and Greensburg.

Completing both Registration and two days of Placement Testing are required to successfully enroll in these classes. Pre-register by visiting www.northshorecollege.edu/workreadyu.

Regular registration in Franklinton will be Friday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., and Monday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
