Madis Carolyn Martin Russell, 77, a resident of Franklinton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.

She leaves to mourn her passing: two daughters, Glenda Watts of Tucson, Ariz., and Jamella Magee of Franklinton; four sisters, Clementine Simmons, Delores Cooper, Patricia Brooks, all of Illinois, and Bette Walters of Franklinton; one brother, Robert Martin, Jr. of Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mamie Martin Sr.; one son, Jonathan Flemings; one sister, Roberta Greene; and one great grandson, Corie Mutin.

The visitation will be Friday, Aug. 31, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., with a family hour from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Winan United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Moses, pastor, and the Rev. Terrence August, officiant. The interment will be in Martin Cemetery.
