Key presented for Poplas youth center

On May 2, 2017, the Bogalusa City Council approved a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with the District A Neighborhood Association to open the Poplas Recreation Youth Center, located at 1 J.J. Piper Street.
Many improvements were made to the building since that time. On Thursday, Aug. 9, officers of the Neighborhood Association met with Mayor Wendy Perrette.
In this meeting, the officers received the key to the Recreation Center.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will be scheduled at a later date.
