Organizers of the Washington Parish Teen Summit say that they already have a great line-up planned, and more speakers and activities could still be added before the event Saturday afternoon.

The teen summit, presented by the Washington Men’s Club, will be from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Cassidy Park in Bogalusa. The theme is “Soaring to New Heights” and everything is free.

Melvin Keith, a member of the Washington Men’s Club, said that the community’s response has been outstanding so far.

“We already have a great line-up of people who plan to speak and perform for the kids,” Keith said Tuesday morning. “But we’re not going to turn anyone away if they want to help with this project. We may have more speakers added to the list — this is just a tentative schedule so far.”
