Robert Gill, 76, passed away on Aug. 13, 2018, at St Tammany Hospital. Robert was born on March 4, 1942, and was a resident of Bogalusa.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Grace Gill; daughters, Lynn (Ray) Taylor of Thomasville, Ga., Cathy (Eddie) Gill of Bogalusa, Connie (Jimmy) Blackburn of Gulfport, Miss., and two sons, Trey (Shelly) Gill of Pearl River, and Shane Gill of Bogalusa and one son-in-law, Jimmy Thigpen of Bogalusa. He is also survived by a sister, Dianne Bulen of Covington; and a brother, Ronnie (Jeannie) Gill of Bogalusa.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Thigpen; and grandson, P.A. Garner; and his parents, Rob and Dot Gill.

Robert’s request to be cremated will be honored.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Varnado. The Rev. Kelly Penton will officiate.
