Sadie Leona Johnston, 93, passed away in Williamsburg, Va., on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Johnston; son, Sidney Johnston; parents, Hamp and Bessie Miley; and sisters, Alma Carpenter, Mavis Creel and Viola Wehmeyer.

Sadie was a teacher with Bogalusa City Schools and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Alexandria.

Survivors include daughter-in-law, Marion Johnston; grandchildren, Nathan Johnston and Rebekah Wester; great-grandchildren, Joshua King, Troy Johnston, Caleb King, Madison Wester, Abigail Wester, Owen Wester and Gracen Johnston; and sister, Mildred Camp.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Nelsen Funeral Home, located at 3785 Strawberry Plains Road in Williamsburg. A graveside service will be held at Ponemah Cemetery, located at 1136 Louisiana Ave. in Bogalusa, on Friday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m.
