Mary Jackson

Ms. Mary Jackson passed away at the age of 90 years young. You can call her Ms. Walmart and Ms. Dirt Cheap. These were two of her favorite shopping venues (department stores). Her main purpose was being about God’s business. Ms. Mary taught Sunday School for over 40 years. She was a part of the Church mission, and Citywide Prayer Band. Ms. Mary enjoyed Tuesday night Bible Class and in her earlier days she gave praises to the Lord by singing in the church choir.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Sailor Jr. (Sonya) of Baker, Howard Sr. (Wanda) of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and one daughter, Linda (Brandon) Madison of Papillon, Neb.; one sister, Charlotte (John) Pierre of Bogalusa; six grandchildren, TeJuan, Howard Jr., Sheldron, Anitria “Niki,” Shayla and Brandon Jr. “B.J.;” five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of play family and friends.

Ms. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Sailor Jackson Sr.; her parents, Robert and Lucy Brister; three brothers and one sister.
