Gaynell Terrell w/f daughter of LC Terrell and the late Ellen Rae Terrell passed away in Covington on July 27, 2018, at the age of 62. Gaynell was a graduate from LSU school of journalism with honors. She once spent six months in South Antarctica, writing research information made in that area. She wrote for several papers and magazines around the country. Gaynell grew up on Avenue F and was a special person, loved by all. She is survived by father, LC Terrell of Sun; sisters, Joy Terrell of Baton Rouge and Jan Foley of Lafayette. She is preceded in death by mother, Ellen Bankston Terrell; and sister, Katheryn Terrell.

A memorial service will be held with her sister Kathryn on Friday, Aug. 3, at 2 p.m. at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home. A short interment service will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens, located on Spring Valley Road in Bogalusa.
