Kathryn Terrell

Kathryn “Kat” Terrell (Locke), a longtime resident of Windsor, Colo., and native of Bogalusa, passed away on July 10, 2018, from pancreatic cancer. She was 70.

She is survived by her beloved husband Charles Locke of Colorado; beloved son and daughter-in-law, Colin and Tracey Byrd of Massachusetts; father, L.C. Terrell of Louisiana; sisters, Joy Terrell, Janice Foley and Gaynell Terrell of Louisiana, Charles and Sylvia Dillinger, brother- and sister-in-law of Georgia; stepson, Craig Locke of North Carolina; stepson, Chad Locke of Florida; and family members and friends across the country. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ellen Rae Bankston Terrell.

Kathryn was a 1966 graduate of Bogalusa High School. She was an alumna of University of Louisiana-Lafayette, where she studied human resource management, which became the academic basis for her professional career.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 3, at 2 p.m. at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, 610 Ave. F in Bogalusa. A short interment service will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens, located at Spring Valley Road in Bogalusa. Dr. Jarrett S. Flood, M.D. will preside over all.

The organization is a highly credible nonprofit organization that helps those who are truly needy with medical services, expenses and prescription medications.
