A Franklinton man was arrested Wednesday and charged with stalking and other offenses, according to the Franklinton Police Department.

Department officials said that FPD officers reported Wednesday to a trespassing complaint in the 1900 block of Washington Street, and reportedly found Robert Dustin Jenkins, 37, of Franklinton, in a vehicle.

Officers determined that Jenkins had violated a protective order by going to the residence and had contacted the victim several times, also in violation of the order, FPD officials said. Officers also reportedly found a firearm in Jenkins’ vehicle.

Jenkins was arrested and charged with violation of a protective order, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, stalking, and remaining after being forbidden.
