Ruth Helen Robinson

Ruth Helen Robinson was born on July 31, 1949, in Bogalusa, to the late Henry and Oree Robinson. She departed this life on July 16, 2018.

Ruth attended Central Elementary School and graduated from Central Memorial High School, home of the Spartan.

Ruth began her religious training at an early age, attending Thirkield United Methodist Church. She united with Antioch Church of Christ Holiness, rededicated her life to Christ, and was re-baptized in the early part of 1979.

Ruth leaves to cherish her loving memories: one son, Roderick (Daphne) Robinson of Franklinton; two daughters, Tina and Cashaundra Robinson of Bogalusa; seven grandchildren, Trayvon, De’Brianna, Ja’Roderick, Acelyn, Mason James, Roderick and Amaya Robinson, all of Bogalusa; three sisters, Katie (Gilbert) Williams of Harvey, Mary McCloud of Irving, Ill., and Deborah (Charles) Plummer of Baton Rouge; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Robinson of Harvey; a special niece, LaTesha Robinson of Bogalusa; special friends, Sister Bettye Dyson, Sister Sarah Lewis, Sister Frankie Moses and Rose Smith, all of Bogalusa; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Oree Robinson; two sisters, Carolyn Robinson Brown and Nora Robinson Morris; four brothers, Clifton Curry, James E. Robinson, Henry L. Robinson and Fred L. Robinson; and one nephew, Micheal J. Robinson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 28, at Antioch Church of Christ Holiness, located at 1832 Dolly Ave. in Bogalusa, at 2 p.m., with Elder Robert Peters officiating.

Interment will be in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
