Freddy Lee Carson was born April 9, 1981, in Bogalusa, to the parents of Katherine Carson and the late Newson Carson Sr., and departed this life on July 5, 2018, in Baton Rouge.

Freddy attended and graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1999. He was employed at Turner Industries Pipe Fabrication Division in Baton Rouge.

He was baptized at an early age at Allen Temple C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of the Rev. Robert Williams and the late Rev. Otis Henry.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 12, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., followed by the family hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 13, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home at 2 p.m., with Pastor Michael O’Ree officiating.

Freddy leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Katherine Carson; son, Kingston Lee Carson of Franklinton; siblings, Katherine Arynel (Kenneth) Spikes, Julleta Dana (Charles) Carson, Katrine Carson, Newson (Trina) Carson; godparents, Winston and Wanda Jean Shorter; godbrothers, Sheddrick Griffin, Shannon Bridges and Don Ishman; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.

Freddy was preceded in death by father, Newson Carson Sr.; friends, Robert Williams and Donnie (Pun) Ishman, and Darrance Roberts Sr.

Interment will be in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
