Buddy Magee passed away at his residence in Pine on Monday, July 9, 2018, at the age of 65. He was born in Bogalusa on Dec. 3, 1952.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Beverly “Suzie” Magee; one son, Patrick Penton of Franklinton; two daughters, Tonya (Kyle) Magee Keaton of Franklinton and Madison Penton of Franklinton; three grandchildren, Sophia Keaton, McCauley Keaton, and Mason Keaton, all of Franklinton; one brother, Jay (Jennifer) Magee of Moss Point, Miss.; and four sisters, Esther (Ronald) Pittman of Bogalusa, Mary (Gerald) Keaton of Bogalusa, Mae (Vernon) Knight of Angie and Vickie Penton of Bogalusa. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and host of friends.

He is preceded by his parents, Oricie and Dorothy Magee; and one son, Little Buddy Magee.

A visitation was held in the chapel at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa on Tuesday evening, July 10, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. His visitation will continue on Wednesday, July 11, from 9 a.m. and continue until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Marcus Rosa will officiate. Interment will follow at Pounds-Pool Cemetery.
