George Ronald Thomas, born Nov. 6, 1942, passed away on June 23, 2018, at the age of 75.

He served and also retired from the U.S. Air Force and was also a teacher at Sullivan Vocational Technical Institute, where he later retired. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Bush.

He is survived by two sons, Don Thomas and his wife Sheryll and Richard Thomas, both of Bush; two brothers, Jack Thomas and his wife Janice of Angie, and Mike Thomas and his wife Barbara from Bush; four grandchildren, Ashley, Allie, Hunter and Joey; five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Bobby Harris; a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Keaton from Bush; and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents, Jack and Josephine Phillips Thomas; his wife, Audrey Lee Thomas; a son, George “Little Ronnie” Thomas; and two brothers, Frank “Zeke” Thomas and Billy Harris.

Visitation was held Tuesday, June 26, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, beginning at 5 p.m. until 11 p.m., and will resume Wednesday, June 27, after 8 a.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. The Rev. Patrick Magee will officiate the services, with the interment to follow in the Thomas Cemetery in Bush.
