Louis Causey

Louis Benjamin Causey was born Sept. 22, 1958, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ada (Alberta) Causey Sr. in Bogalusa. He was the eighth of 10 children. He departed this life on Saturday, June 9, 2018.

In his early childhood, he attended St. John Temple under the leadership of Bishop J.W. White. He had a passion for cars, motorcycles, racing and drawing. Louis had a charismatic personality and a big heart for children. He enjoyed spending time with his brother Zachary, also known as “The Duke Boys.”

He will leave an everlasting mark in the hearts of his wife, Shondra Causey; three sons, Charles (Dena) Franklin of Baton Rouge, Steven Todd Franklin of Temple, Texas, and Darren Deshawn Williams of Bogalusa; three grandchildren, La’Kysha Cotton of Bogalusa, Perry Collins of Bay St. Louis, Miss. And Steven Franklin Jr. of Moody, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Kylah Dillon and Kylie Alexander, both of Bogalusa; four sisters, Clara Jones of New Orleans, Frankie (Larry) Moses of Bogalusa, Barbara Causey of Arlington, Texas, and Debra (Darrin) Dixon of Bogalusa; three brothers, Ado (Valine) Causey Jr., Zachary (Sabrina) Causey, all of Bogalusa, and Bruce Causey of Baton Rouge; one brother-in-law, Ernest Lewis Sr. of Mt. Morris, Mich.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ado (Alberta) Causey Sr.; two sisters, Beatrice Lewis and Melvin Dixon; and two nieces, Lisa and Tonie Moses.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., followed by the family hour from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 15, at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Stanley Nathaniel officiating.
