In remembrance of Memorial Day, services were hosted by American Legion Post #24 at the Ponemah Cemetary Veterans’ Plot. U.S. Rep. Ralph Abraham was the guest speaker.

Mayor Wendy Perrette also spoke on remembering the fallen. Bogalusa High School Jr. ROTC also participated in the presentation of the flag.

Annunciation Catholic School students placed poppies along the gravesites. In closing, Mr. John Gallaspy recited the World War I poem, In Flanders Fields.
