Joseph Jerome “J.J.” Guttuso, 41, of Zachary, passed away after a long period of health-related issues. He was surrounded by loved ones at the time. He was born June 6, 1976, and passed away on May 26, 2018. He dedicated his life to his wife and children and always put others first no matter how much pain he was in. He always knew how to make people smile and laugh with his ”creative” imagination.

J.J. is survived by his wife, Melissa Irvine Guttuso of Zachary; his children, McKenzi and Ethan Guttuso of Zachary; his sisters, Candace Guttuso McCain of Crossroads, Miss., and Shalanda Guttuso Nalencz (Ryan) of Zachary; brother, Antonio Guttuso; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Rae Walker Guttuso; his father, Frank Joseph Guttuso; his grandmother, Eloise Chittenden; and a nephew, Dustin McCain.

The family wanted to extend a special thank you to Natalie Johns, and Janet Galloway.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 30, from 9 a.m. until the service time of 1 p.m. The Rev. Chad Jenkins will officiate and interment will take place at Azalea Rest Cemetery in Zachary at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
