Peggy Joyce Stogner Brewton, 81, passed away on May 21, 2018, at the residence of her daughter here in Bogalusa.

She is survived by two daughters, Denise W. Miley (Sid) of Bogalusa and Pam Hartzog (Windy) of Covington; one sister, Katherine Collins of Bogalusa; grandchildren, Philip Kennedy, Bianca Westmorland (Mason), Dixie Hartzog, and Abigail Hartzog; and a great-grandson, Philip “Austin” Kennedy II.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Brewton; parents, William Rankin and Dixie Lott Stogner; brothers, Herbert Stogner, Dutch Stogner, Rooney Stogner, William Rankin Stogner II and Huey Stogner; and sisters, Helen Miley, Eloise Chittenden and Betty Hammond.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 23, from 10 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Miley Cemetery. The Rev. Chad Jenkins will officiate.
