Marshall L. Jefferson Sr. passed peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at the age of 92. He was a lifelong resident of Angie.

He leaves to cherish his memories: three devoted daughters, Doris (Bernard) Harry of New Orleans, Carolyn (Joe L.) Lewis of Varnado, and Easter Michelle Blackburn of Angie; three sons, Rev. Marshall L. (Norvis) Jefferson Jr. of Houston, Texas, and Roderick T. (Benita) Jefferson of Missouri City, Texas, and James C. Jefferson of Angie; a special daughter, Miranda (Timmy) Landor of Lafayette; two god-daughters, Sandra J. Brown of Little Rock, Ark., and Janice Herron of Angie; and one god-son, Oscar (Shantel) Jefferson Jr. of New Orleans. He also leaves a lovely daughter-in-law, Linda Jefferson of Angie; two sisters and five brothers, Freddie Jefferson Sr. of Angie, Clarence (Clarissa) Jefferson of Jackson, Cleveland (Myrtle) Jefferson of Baton Rouge, Marvin (Athrin) Jefferson of Angie, Ruth M. Morman of Angie, Ester Jefferson of Angie, and the Rev. Julius (Carol) Jefferson of Pikesville, Md.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 25, in the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Family hour will be from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.

The funeral service will be Saturday, May 26, with viewing from 11 a.m. until the funeral service time at 1 p.m. at the Wesley Ray United Methodist Church in Angie. The Rev. Terrence S. August is pastor with the Rev. Marshall L. Jefferson Jr. officiating.

Interment will be in the Jefferson Cemetery in Angie.
