Johnny Lee Willis, 78, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018, at his residence in Bogalusa.

He was born on Oct. 21, 1939, in Bogalusa. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was purchasing manager for 58 years at the International Paper Co. He was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Cathryn Kay Willis of Bogalusa; two sons, Barrett (Michelle) Willis of Covington, and Chol (Lacretia) Willis of Bogalusa; two brothers, Joby Willis and Jimmy Willis, both of Bogalusa; and four grandchildren, Grace Willis, Myrian Willis, Abigayle Willis, and Rachael Willis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto Willis and Wilda Mae Mitchell Willis.

Visitation will be held at Palestine Baptist Church, located at 59369 Palestine Baptist Church Road in Bogalusa, on Wednesday, May 16, from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Funeral Services will begin at 11:30 a.m., with the Rev. Bruce Spivey, the Rev. Mike Spivey and the Rev. Fred Brumfield officiating. Interment will follow at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery.
