Big Box Bargains Salvage Superstore celebrated its “Grand Opening” on Saturday, May 5, in Bogalusa.
Logan Talley, the store’s warehouse supervisor, said, “It has been a good turnout so far — not a bad day. Also, in the next three months will be accepting food stamps. A lot of people are stopping by thanking us for coming back to the Bogalusa area.”
Store manager Kelley Williams said, “The grand opening was designed to do something on the weekend to offer deals and specials to our customers and to show customer appreciation.”
Most products are not at the retail prices — all products are marked down and the most expensive products are priced at 30 percent up to 80 percent below retail price. Inventory is changed regularly, which increases the color-coded discounts of food and non-food products.
District manager Gail Anderson said that the Big Box Bargains Salvage Superstore hours are Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m., and the store is located near Tractor Supply.
Gloria Kates, president of the Bogalusa City Council, visited the store during its grand opening and expresses a huge and warm welcome to the new business.
