Sharon Peters

On Feb. 15, 1974, Silous and Verene Walter Ree Peters welcomed Sharon Peters into the world while living in Wiesbaden, Germany. Sharon passed away in Chicago, Ill., on April 13, 2018.

In 1993, Sharon graduated from Pickering High School. Afterwards, she attended several schools of higher education. She studied at Northshore Technical College and received an associate degree in Medical Office Administration at Louisiana Technical College in 2010.

Sharon is a former employee of the Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans. After graduating from Louisiana Technical College, Sharon moved to Chicago, where she has been employed as an office assistant at Healthcare Consortium of Illinois since 2014.

Sharon is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bessie and Felix Owens; and her paternal grandparents, Joseph and Cotney Peters.

Sharon leaves to mourn and cherish her memories: her parents, Silous and Verene Peters of Angie; a sister, Mona Sherrell Moore Peters of Angie; two nephews, Marquis Dontia Moore and Myles Anthony Moore of Milwaukee, Wis.; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, located at 193 Dexter Road in Dexter, Miss., from noon until 1 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m.

Interment will be in the Peters/Mose Cemetery on Wilbur Dillion Road in Angie.
