Bogalusa Mayor Wendy Perrette jumped all over this year’s “Louisiana Cleanest City Contest.” She urged everybody to participate in beautifying Bogalusa. And, a former educator, she taught the children about the impact of litter.
The judges were complimentary when they returned from the tour of the city, and now the moment of truth has arrived. According to Perrette, the judges plan to notify the winner and other contestants by email today, April 13.
“It won’t be long before we know,” Perrette said, on Thursday.
Bogalusa’s Parks and Recreation Director Landon Tims even volunteered to head up the local program, and many people voluntarily participated by adopting spots to clean and beautify — such as parks, cemeteries, and other public places.
