Mrs. Alberta H. Buckley was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at her residence in Mt. Hermon.

She leaves to cherish two sons, Christopher Buckley and Rafael Buckley, both of Mt. Hermon; four daughters, Vernedia Buckley of Mt. Hermon, Onecia Buckley of Greensburg, Miss., Queen Ester of Baton Rouge, and Rosa Bridges of Bogalusa; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Alberta is preceded in death by her husband, Superintendent Earl Buckley; her parents, Leon Harness and Vivian Harness; two daughters, Vivian Buckley and Stella Buckley; two brothers, Robert Harness, and J.M. Harness; and three sisters, Ada Corkerhan, Modenia Upton and Helen Booth.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 7, at Faith Temple Ministries Church of God In Christ, located at 11695 Fontand Lane in Independence, from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m., followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. Interment will be at E. St. Paul Cemetery.
