A.J. Smith Jr.

Altus Jewel “A.J.” Smith Jr., born March 27, 1968, went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2018, at the age of 50. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a carpenter and worked in construction.

He leaves behind his mother, Pauline Toney of Bogalusa; his wife, Angie Wheat Smith of Bogalusa; a son, Stanton Smith and his wife Elizabeth of Hammond; three daughters, Tia Smith and her husband Bobby of Bogalusa, Alyssa Smith of Mandeville, and Robin Smith of Pine; two brothers, Dwayne Smith and his wife Chelsea and Jonathon Smith and his wife Shantelle, all of Bogalusa; a sister, Vickie Smith of Covington; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Altus Jewel Smith Sr.

Celebration of Life services will be held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on April 6, beginning at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. There will be no interment services following the visitation.
