On Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, Costroma Burnett was called from labor to rest. He was born in Bogalusa on Aug. 19, 1952, to Collie Burnett Sr. (deceased) and Lee Audrey (Ransfer) Burnett.

Cherishing his memory are his devoted and loving wife, Kim; daughter Emily; mother, Mrs. Lee A. Cohea Burnett; brothers, Fortune, Collie, Brandon, Kelvin and Warren; his sisters Eunice, Colisa and Sybill; along with his many cousins and family members.

A memorial service will be held at Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, located at 420 Church St. in Bogalusa, on Saturday April 14, starting at 2 p.m. Pastor R.L. Palmer Jr. will be the officiating minister. Interment will be in Bourne National Cemetery, in Cape Cod, Mass.
