Sarah Margaret Galloway, a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, passed away at the age of 68 at her home surrounded by her loving children on Saturday, March 24, 2018. She was a devoted loving mother and grandmother, who was a living example of unconditional love.

She was survived by her son, Archie Blackwell III of Bogalusa, LA; her daughter, Lavane Blackwell (Herman Mayeau) of Bogalusa; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Leslie; her mother, Mildred Leslie; her sisters, Fredda Miller, Laura Lee Cobb and Josie Hartzog; her brothers, Charles Leslie, William Leslie, Richard Leslie, Timothy Leslie and Gary Leslie.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Monday, March 26, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation continued at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 27, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services began at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Pete Underwood officiating. Interment followed at Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.
