When Pfc. Nicholas Glenn was named “Officer of the Year for 2017” by the Bogalusa Police Department and the Bogalusa Rotary Club recently, both the BPD and the Rotary Club gave the officer plaques, and the title came with considerable prestige as well.
Glenn joined the BPD in 2012. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
Lt. Troy Tervalon took Chief Kendall Bullen’s place at that event.
“In a small department that’s kind of a rarity for someone to have that kind of degree and still come work with us,” Tervalon said at the time. “He has become an outstanding officer in all aspects of his job.”
Tervalon went on to say that Glenn was nominated by a group of supervisors who “all felt the same way about him.”
On Wednesday, Bullen and Bogalusa Mayor Wendy Perrette awarded Glenn with a gun safe presented by Fane Gun Safe Company.
