Alvin Williams

Alvin Arvis Williams was born Oct. 9, 1934, to Alton and Edith Williams. He grew up in Angie, and served in the Louisiana National Guard. He was employed at the paper mill until his retirement. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and attending to his garden and cattle farming. Alvin was a member of Angie Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Winnie Seal Williams; one son, Gene Williams and his wife Genie Fornea Williams; one daughter, Wanda Stogner; three sisters, Geraldine Askew, Lizette Crosby and Sheila Maroney; four grandchildren, Joshua Williams, Loren Williams, Christina Seal and Alisha Thomas; one great-grandchild, Cheyenne Seal; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 20, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m. The Rev. Larry Mizell officiated the services, with the interment following in the Williams Cemetery on Alton Williams Road.
